Your privacy and the security of your family's information are fundamental priorities at NestRoutine — Baby Routine Tracker ("NestRoutine", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information and your baby's routine data when you use our mobile application, cloud synchronization services, and widgets.

1. Information We Collect

We collect different categories of information to provide, improve, and personalize your baby routine tracking experience:

Account & Authentication Data: Email address and login credentials associated with your Cloud Sync account.
Baby Profiles: Child's name or nickname, date of birth, and age. This information is essential for calibrating sleep prediction algorithms, calculating the awake time battery indicator, and matching age-appropriate pediatric recommendations.
Routine Logs & Activity Records:
- Sleep: Start/end times, duration, and live timer logs.
- Feeding: Breastfeeding details (left/right side distribution) and bottle feeding details (milk volume in ml).
- Diapers: Wet, dirty, or combined diaper changes, including stool texture preferences.
Technical & Device Data: Device identifiers, operating system (iOS), interaction logs with the iOS Home Screen Widget (WidgetKit), language preferences (English or Portuguese - Brazil), and theme settings (dark/light mode).
Advertising & Analytics Identifiers: Device advertising identifier (IDFA, on iOS) and app event data (such as app installs, app opens, sign-ups, and Pro purchases) collected through the Meta (Facebook) SDK, used for advertising measurement and analytics on Meta platforms.
Purchase & Subscription Data (Pro): NestRoutine Pro subscription status (monthly, yearly, or lifetime access) processed securely via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not store financial details or payment card information on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data strictly for operational and functional purposes of the app:

Predictive Intelligence Engine: Analyzing historical routine patterns to predict upcoming sleep, feeding, and diaper change windows along with confidence percentages.
Sleep Window Battery Indicator: Calculating remaining awake time based on your baby's age to prevent overtiredness.
Smart Notifications (Pro): Delivering timely reminders for naps, feeds, and diaper checks tailored to actual habit patterns.
Cloud Sync & Backup: Allowing seamless access across multiple mobile devices.
Analytics & Insights (Pro): Generating daily/weekly charts, breastfeeding side distribution, and pediatric sleep comparisons.
Advertising & Campaign Measurement (Meta Ads): Using the Meta SDK to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, including attributing app installs and key in-app events, subject to your consent via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.

NestRoutine does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or baby routine logs to third parties or advertisers. We only share data in the following instances:

Cloud Service Providers: Secure database and hosting infrastructure used for cloud sync and backup operations.
App Store Infrastructure: Apple App Store and Google Play Store for validating and managing Pro subscription purchases.
Advertising Partners: We use the Meta SDK (Facebook/Instagram) to share limited device and usage data — such as your advertising identifier and app event data (e.g., app opens, sign-ups, purchases) — with Meta Platforms, Inc., for the purpose of measuring and improving our advertising campaigns. This sharing only occurs after you grant tracking permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. Legal Obligations: When required by applicable law, regulations, or valid legal process.

5. Children's Privacy

NestRoutine is designed strictly for use by parents, legal guardians, and adult caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. All child profile information is entered voluntarily by parents or legal guardians for routine management purposes in compliance with global data privacy legislation (such as COPPA and GDPR).

The advertising identifier and app event data shared with Meta Platforms relate solely to the parent's or caregiver's device and app usage. Baby profile information (name, date of birth, routine logs) is never included in, or shared through, our advertising and analytics integrations.

6. Data Security & Retention

We implement robust technical and organizational security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. Data transferred between your device and the cloud is encrypted in transit and at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide our services.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You maintain full control over your data within the application:

Edit or Delete Logs: You can edit or remove individual logs and baby profiles directly in the app at any time.
Account Deletion: You can request permanent deletion of your account and all associated cloud-synced data.
Notification Controls: Smart prediction alerts and notifications can be customized or disabled anytime in app settings or device permissions.
Tracking Permission: You can grant or withdraw consent to advertising tracking at any time via Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your iOS device, or by adjusting your ad preferences directly with Meta at facebook.com/ads/preferences.
